Ramadhan Kareem!

Asalam Alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters of Charlottesville, 

Ramadhan Kareem to all and may Allah grant us His Mercy, Forgiveness and Salvation from Annar in this month... Ameen. 

According to the Fiqh Council of North America, the first day of Ramadhan will fall on August 11, 2010 (this Wednesday) making the first Tarawih prayer to be on the night of Tuesday, August 10, 2010 (tomorrow). Insh'Allah, 

We would like to remind you that Iqamah for Esha prayer will be at 9:15PM and Tarawih prayer at 9:30PM, and Iqamah time for Fajr will be at 5:30am, in-sha-Allah. These times are set in an effort to have as many community members pray together in Jama’ah. 

We hope to see you in all at our Masjid all througout this Holy Month and beyond.

Alhamdulillah we had our official ground breaking on Wednesday Sept 3rd. The attendees included the Mayor of Charlottesville, together with other city officials, our Contractor and our Architect. Jazakum Allah Kheir! to everyone of you who came and participated.
