Eid al-Adha

Eid Prayer and Celebration.

Please note that when Eid comes on the day of Friday, Friday Prayer is not required for anyone who prayed Eid Prayer. Friday Prayer, however, will be be held at the mosque at 1:15 pm for those who could not attend Eid prayer. Others who prayed Eid must pray Dhuhr, though.

Asalam Alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters,

You are invited this Saturday, May 16 at 6:30 PM for a Community Potluck and Town hall meeting at Buford Middle School.

ISCV will cater the Meat & Bread, but please bring a side dish of your choice (rice, pasta, veggie dishes etc) and come prepared for an open forum discussion on our current community needs.

Eid Al-Adha Prayers

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Salam Alaikum Wa Rahmat Allah,

The first day of the month of Dul-Hijjah was on Saturday 11/29/08. Based on this, Eid Al-Adha will be on Monday 12/8/08, in-sha-Allah. Eid prayer will be performed in Newcomb Hall Grand Ballroom (3rd floor) http://www.virginia.edu/webmap/popPages/64-NewcombHall.html. The prayer will start at 7:45AM, so we kindly ask that you come 15-20 minutes earlier to park your cars and walk to the prayer area.

May Allah forgive us our sins in these great days and may He accept our Fasting and Sadaqat, Ameen.

Please join us for the first community Iftar at the Newcomb Hall South Meeting Room at UVA this Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Maghrib time. Dinner will be catered and after dinner we have a very special activity planned, an Auction. Please bring any items of value that you would like to have auctioned and bring cash to buy auction items; all proceeds will go to the construction of the new Masjid Insha-Allah.

ISCV would cordially like to share with you a blessed event for a wonderful cause FI SABEEL ALLAH. As many of you well know, we are blessed by the Bounty of ALLAH to be his servants in trying to establish a house of worship for HIM in Charlottesville, VA (Home of UVA). We are at a phase that ground breaking IN SHA ALLAH is within the coming 2 weeks ALHAMDULILAH.

We are holding a fund raising event at: Sheraton Premiere, Tysons corner on Sept, 6, 2008 (First weekend in Ramadan), at 7:00 PM. Maghreb, Esha and Taraweeh prayers to be led by the world famous SHEIKH MOHAMED JIBRIL.
